Web site designed for the Friends of the Newport Ship celebrates the recent
archaeological discovery of an almost complete mediaeval armed-merchant
ship dated to 1465. The site carries information about the history of
the ship and its discovery; research reports and a members area with news
reports and online versions of SOS their quarterly newsletter and
downloadable membership form - both of which we designed.
Award-winning:
The site is the foremost source of information about this remarkable
find and is packed full of photographs, book reviews and links to other
ship and heritage sites. It has an extensive library of press reports
and a res earch link into the archives of the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich. The site was awarded the "Site of the month" accolade
by Sapling the National Heritage Portal.
